A Human Approach to Elder Housing
Powerful dynamics are occurring as the Long Term Care marketplace prepares for the successful aging of our elders that will flood the system for the next three decades. Current trends in deinstitutionalizing skilled nursing facilities into residences referred to generally as smallhouse or “household” models are addressed. The Affordable Care Act and its impact on this asset class is also discussed.
