I had an opportunity to tour Hogeweyk, the dementia village located in the Netherlands, in the summer of 2018. This four-acre community is situated on a residential suburban block framed by one and two-story buildings which envelope multiple courtyards. Housing 152 Alzheimer dementia (AD) residents at the time of my visit, the facility consists of 23 households which provide a home for 6-7 residents each.
